Still writing away on my Black Cat Bookshop mystery (Mr. Hell-on-Paws, a.k.a. Hamlet the Cat, says hi to all the readers!). But I've taken time to add a couple more fun links to my LEONARDO page, one of them sure to make you grin.
And let me know what you think of my new author photo on the HOME page. I confess it drives me crazy when authors use 20-year-old pictures of themselves in their promotional material. Yeah, we'd all like to look 30 again, but them's the breaks! And so I like to keep my photo up-to-date. Nothing worse than meeting a reader in public and having them say, "you don't look a thing like your picture!". No fear...this is the real and current moi. :)
Thanks and gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us and our proud country safe.

I'm pleased to announce some BIG news! I've just signed a 3-book contract for a brand new contemporary mystery series with Berkley Prime Crime. Called The Black Cat Bookshop Mysteries, they feature a transplanted Texan, Darla Pettistone, who has taken over the Brooklyn bookstore owned by her late great-aunt. Along with the shop comes a bad-tempered black cat named Hamlet, who has a nose for trouble and a knack for solving crimes. Look for the first in the series, DOUBLE-BOOKED FOR DEATH sometime in Summer 2011. It's a fast, fun, and furious read...and you don't have to be a cat fanatic to enjoy. Go to my PUBLISHED WORKS page for a preview of the series.
A couple of quick updates to the site...a link to my most recent online appearance on my BLOGGING page, and an interesting Leonardo link added to my LINKS page. I've also added photos to the PICTURE GALLERY. And, a couple of days early, but HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my wonderful mom, Helen, and all the moms out there. Love you!!
I've updated my Blogging & Events page with more appearances scheduled this Spring. I hope you'll come see me in person!
